Jeff has a cool job working for Foundation Imaging.  The company is on the leading edge of computer graphics and special effects.  Pictured above is Jeff (Elite in background) working with a couple of actors.  The reflectors on the actors allow a computer to track their movements for computer simulations.

I started Elite #608 October 1997. I built the stabilizer, elevator, and rudder at home in the garage while I was working as a freelance Art Director in Hollywood. In late November of 1997 I started full time with a friends company, Foundation Imaging (http://foundation-i.com/). I spend most of my time building things to blow up or burn down for one TV show or another. Ron my boss told me to bring my project to work, so I did. I work on it every morning and most of my lunch times and often after work. I’ve been moving right along, the help I get from the tech dept. has been great, and all the people in shipping have been a great help. All in all my experience with Murphy Aircraft has been very pleasant, They make a great product and they stand behind it

Project is coming along quite well with an estimated 600-700 hours so far.

The turbine on the left is a M41 Free Turbine that Jeff found in a APU.  Jeff managed to wire it up and get it running.  At the present time he doesn't know what to do with it but he says its cool to fire it up and just smell the jet fuel. ( a true aviator).  Jeff tells me that it came out of an APU about the size of a fork lift and more than likely has thousands of hours on it but runs fine.  I asked him if this was going to be powering his Elite?  Its not, Jeff is looking towards a Subaru and would appreciate any feedback on them.  Thanks for the photos Jeff.
